Service Example: Avoid unnecessary systems conversion.

For: Client in the real estate industry.

Challenge: Majority joint venture partner required our client to convert to its accounting software for consolidation purposes.

Project: Convert customized accounting system meeting all key business requirements to packaged software which did not offer equivalent features, representing a significant setback in systems capability for our client.

Result: Proposed alternative “bridge” from existing system to partner-specified software package. Developed software bridge at fractional cost/disruption of a major systems conversion. When run monthly, after each close, provided joint venture partner with files equivalent to live production use of partner-specified software.

Outcome: Long-term joint venture completed successfully. Unnecessary conversion avoided with all parties satisfied. Positioned our client to capitalize on major business up-cycle that followed. Client ultimately leveraged their custom software to support its remaining business requirements.

Service Example: Meet critical business challenge.

For: Client in the retail/distribution industry.

Challenge: At critical stage of growth, rapidly expanding chain of 12 stores required custom distribution system to meet unique business requirements within 10 months, before next holiday season. Overloaded existing system could not adequately support logistics or impending volume increase. Inability to optimize distribution formula and reduce turnaround times inhibited earnings growth.

Project: Analyze requirements, design, develop and implement custom distribution system, integrated with existing ERP/accounting system, on tight deadline to avoid holiday season crisis.

Result: Lead team to develop and implement successful solution on time and within budget, in same timeframe as larger, competing consulting firms proposed to only study the problem.

Outcome: All holiday season requirements met. System enhanced over next several years to support six-fold increase in number of stores before achieving targeted sale of company to national chain. IT played a key role in achieving business objectives and favorable exit/liquidity event for client principals.
